The center of the city Bouznika is located in the Atlantic plain at the junction of Highway No. 1 between the economic capital and the administrative capital and the secondary road No. 117 linking the city to the province of Benslimane. Administratively, the center Bouznika depended Kenitra province until 1971 and Prefecture de Rabat-Sale until 1977, when he was attached to the province of Benslimane newly created. Bouznika occupies second place in the urban province, behind the town of Benslimane is the capital of the province. Bouznika The city owes its existence to the Kasbah north-west of the town founded by Moulay Abderrahmane in 1858 on the basis of an exchange economy and trade was therefore an important transit point.
